Plucked from Naga City, Dr. Sofronio F. Llorin has been a Resource Person for the Development Academy of the Philippines (DAP) since 1995, teaching the Personal Efficacy and Leadership (PEL) course for the Graduate School of Public Development and Management, and a management consultant on Human Resource Development and Organizational Development. Prior to that, he served as Vice-President, Fellow, and Project Officer for DAP as well, his involvement even going back to the Career Executive Service Development Program (CESDP). He is considered a guru in the field of PEL and continues to leave an enduring impact on many participants’ lives. Before his involvement with DAP, he was a classroom teacher for Ateneo de Naga, where he eventually became a Guidance Director and then the Highschool Principal. For three years, he was also an instructor for Colegio de Sta. Isabel in Naga City and Aquinas University in Legaspi City. His accomplishments are not only in the academe. Dr. Llorin has been a Program/Project Designer and Facilitator for numerous notable government and non-government organizations, both local and international. Among his remarkable projects have been with the Secretariats of the Senate and House of Representatives, the Office of Court Administration of the Supreme Court, ABS-CBN Foundation, World Bank-Rural Development, Philippine Stock Exchange, Asian Productivity Organization, and the Canadian International Development Agency-Rights and Democracy, just to name a few. Dr. Llorin is a holder of two masters degrees : Master of Science in Human Resource Development from Manchester University, and Master of Science in Guidance and Counselling from De La Salle University.
