For the first time, the Development Academy of the Philippines (DAP), through its Public Management Development Program (PMDP), will pilot a Middle Managers Class (MMC) Shuttle Course this year. The course will begin with the Development Perspectives module, scheduled on July 10–11 and 13–17, 2026.

ABOUT THE MODULE

The Development Perspectives module is designed to provide scholars with a broader and more nuanced understanding of development and its impact on Philippine society. It examines development through a comprehensive framework that integrates political, cultural, economic, and sociological dimensions. The course also explores the growing influence of regional integration and globalization, offering participants a deeper appreciation of how these forces shape national and local development outcomes.

The module culminates in a critical examination of contemporary development challenges in the Philippines, alongside an assessment of relevant policy responses and their implications for government institutions and society at large.
